I promised you guys on my Instagram many months ago a review on this CC cream and I know I'm pretty late (considering I took these photos in June) but here it finally is! I wanted to give it a few tries before raving about it because I'm such a sucker for new products so here is my unbiased review of Amore Pacific's CC Cream!
I really love that it's in a cushion compact form--and no, that is not what CC stands for; it stands for color correcting--the first in the market! You can take it with you when you're on the go and reapply as needed!
CONSISTENCY + COVERAGE
The consistency of CC creams is much lighter and watery (for lack of a better description) than BB creams. Therefore providing a lightweight, sheer coverage and dewy finish. My main concerns for applying anything on my skin is to even out my skin tone (red post-acne spots, blotchiness, etc.) and it provides that even tone all over. However, because it's such a sheer coverage, it does not cover my post-acne scars so I go over though areas with concealer. But when I'm quickly running to the gym or running errands, just CC cream alone will do. I really do love how light it feels on my skin though! It feels like you're wearing nothing. My one concern is that over time, the dewy glow just starts to look like oily skin so be mindful of that!
$60. Yes, it's pricey but if it makes you feel better, there's an extra cushion so you're really paying for two CC creams! I don't use mine daily but still a good 2 times per week (on average) and my first cushion is just now starting to reach the bottom after 4 months. Not too bad, right?
Natural, dewy finish
Anti-microbial puff (a big plus!)
Green Tea Treatment Complex™ to brighten skin
Exclusive Long-Lasting Complex™ for longer, more even coverage
Tendency to look oily
Barely there coverage (whether you see that as a pro or con is up to your skin type, I guess)
Overall, I like it! But I'm curious to see how others with different skin types and skin concerns would react to the product. Have you tried any CC creams? What's your take on it and which products do you love/hate?
