Life in LA

It's officially been about 3 weeks since I've moved to my new home and it's officially been a week since I've started at my new job. Needless to say things have been crazy and life has been in whirlwind mode ever since. So I do apologize for the lack of blog posts but I hope you've been keeping up with my life on my Instagram (the one thing I do update daily)! Since I've been M.I.A. for a while, I figured it was necessary to give you all an update on my new life here in sunny California.

Let me just start by saying that the weather really is perfectly beautiful every. single. day. Sunny, clear skies, light breeze, no humidity... oh, and palm trees everywhere. I don't think I'll ever get sick of the palm trees. I hadn't had too many chances to venture off yet and mingle but the few times that I have, I've met some pretty amazing people. For example, my first week here, I met one of the producers for The Italian Job (I loved that movie, didn't you?!) and have been meeting so many creative individuals with entrepreneurial spirits. I just love that. People out here have a passion and a vision and they just go after what they want! Psst, East-coasters -- get on it and don't hold back!

I started my new job as creative director of a small fashion start-up and though it's only been one week, it feels like it's been much longer. It's very true what they say... you wear multiple hats in a start-up and there is so much to do and learn! The first week has been like a very big, simultaneously exciting and frightening roller coaster ride. However, I am extremely thankful for this opportunity and can't wait to put in all my ideas, talents and passion and watch it grow into something BIG!

Last night, I went to my first fashion networking event with a dear friend of mine, Cathleen. This event was in my neighborhood in DTLA and was hosted by the ladies of Love Made in the cool and trendy boutique/salon/space The Well. It was pretty cool to meet so many creative women who were all so very fierce and passionate. It's always humbling and inspiring to be around so many independent women! This event is held monthly, so I'm excited to go to as many as possible... if you are in LA, I highly recommend checking it out!

I am super excited for this weekend! Tomorrow, I'll be going to VidCon as one of the makeup artists for Michelle Phan's Em Cosmetics's booth! Super exciting. And on Sunday, I'll be working with a friend for another exciting project as a makeup artist. It'll be a makeup packed weekend. I'll be sure to post photos on Instagram so stay tuned!

Well there is my big LA update for you all. Hope you made it this far! Wishing you all a wonderful weekend -- please share your exciting plans with me! Muah!
